Why pee pads cost more than they look
A disposable pee pad looks cheap at the till. The problem is the maths of daily use. A medium or large dog goes through one to two pads a day, every day, which quietly turns into hundreds of rupees a month and a steady stream of plastic to landfill. In Indian heat and humidity, pads and artificial turf also hold odour, so many owners end up changing them more often, not less.
A coir pad works differently. You replace it roughly every three to four weeks, the tray is a one-time cost you keep for years, and coir is compostable rather than landfill-bound. For most apartment dogs the yearly difference is significant, and the environmental difference is larger still.
