Pet Friendly Societies in India
Ask any dog parent in an Indian city what the hardest part is and a surprising number will say the housing society, not the dog. These guides cover what to ask before you sign, and what a society can and cannot legally do.
Why we are building this
Rental listings will tell you a flat is pet friendly. They will not tell you that the society makes dogs use the service lift, or that the secretary sent three notices to the last resident with a Labrador. That information only exists inside the buildings, with the people who live there.
So we are collecting it from residents rather than guessing. Every city page has a form, and we publish a society only after a real resident has told us about it. We check submissions before publishing, and we never publish the name of the person who wrote in.
If you are in a dispute right now, start with our guide to RWA rules for dog parents, which covers what societies can and cannot do.
