Why coconut coir?
It's not a gimmick. Coir has been India's best-kept material secret for decades. Here's the science — and why it beats everything else for apartment dogs.

What exactly is coir?
Coir is the natural fibre extracted from the husk of coconuts — the brown, fibrous layer between the outer shell and the hard nut. India is the world's largest coir producer, with the majority coming from Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
It's been used for generations in doormats, ropes, mattresses, and garden mulch because of one key property: it handles moisture exceptionally well. It absorbs liquid quickly, drains effectively, and doesn't retain the humidity that causes smell.
When your dog urinates on coir, the fibre absorbs on contact. The ammonia compounds that cause odour are neutralised by the natural lignin in the coir — no sprays, no chemicals, no air fresheners needed.
Why coir works for dog toilets
Natural odour neutralisation
Coir contains lignin — a natural compound that breaks down the ammonia in urine. No chemical smell, no artificial fragrance. Just nothing.
Fast absorption
The hollow structure of coir fibres wicks moisture instantly. No pooling, no spreading. The surface stays relatively dry after use.
Built for Indian heat and humidity
Synthetic materials wilt and smell in Mumbai's monsoon or Delhi's summer. Coir is a tropical material — it was grown in these conditions. It thrives here.
Dogs recognise it as 'outside'
The natural scent and texture of coir mirrors the outdoor grass and soil dogs instinctively associate with toileting. Training is fast because the material does the work.
Fully biodegradable
When it's time to replace the pad, roll it up and drop it in the bin or compost. It breaks down completely. No plastic entering landfill.
No chemicals, no synthetics
The pad that reaches you is pure coir. Nothing added. Safe for dogs who chew, sniff, and investigate everything.
